These are the sources for the data used to compile our interactive map of grammar schools and our selective education guides.
Information used for our grammar school map:
School name, gender, religious denomination, school roll, FSM pupil percentage (published Jan 2024)

Nearest non-selective school to each grammar school
This comparison excludes faith and single sex schools and newly opened schools without available data. The closest non-selective school was sourced using Google Maps and DfE FSM data. In cases where two non-selective schools were an identical distance from a grammar school the school with the largest number of pupils is reported.

Number of pupils sitting and passing 11-plus:
Data from a CF FOI to all grammar schools in 2017/2018. A review in 2021 showed in authorities 11-plus test taker numbers were not significantly increased, as confirmed by a Guardian article (link).
